Firurikatuak Ziren Xirio Luze Batzu was printed on the occasion of Aglaë Miguel's residency organised by Haran Ubel in 2023.
The book investigates the traditional Pyrenean mourning candles. It gathers the documents, archives and research Aglaë collected over the last three years as well as interviews with local beekeepers, candle makers, ethnologists and villagers who remember the rituals and customs around these mourning candles, the use of wax and beekeeping.
Firurikatuak Ziren Xirio Luze Batzu was printed in risography (black, federal blue, honey, grey and fluorescent pink) in Basque Country in August 2023. The cover was laser engraved in Guéret in November 2023.
